8 March marks International Women’s Day, a day set aside to celebrate women around the world.
Not only is this day for celebrating just how awesome women are as mothers, wives, sisters, colleagues etc., but it is a day to look upon their social, political and economic achievements.
What started as a socialist political event, is now celebrated across the world. Although the day is celebrated in various fashions, the main purpose is to create awareness of the political and social struggles of women worldwide, and thus human rights.
The first Women’s Day celebrations started on March 3rd, 1908 in Chicago, USA. Learn more about the history, development and culture around International Women’s Day, here.

I’m impressed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s both educative and amusing, and let me tell you, you have hit
the nail on the head. The issue is something which
too few men and women are speaking intelligently
about. I’m very happy I stumbled across this during my search for something concerning this.
