It’s that time of the year again, when all the gaming fanatics come out to play at South Africa’s biggest gaming and technology exhibition in Gauteng, the rAge Expo 2014.
Yes that’s right, the annual rAge Expo is back. If you are eagerly awaiting this expo, then brace yourself because this year it’s going to bring you much more then what you would expect. The 12th annual rAge Expo runs over the course of a single crazy weekend where thousands of eager gaming and technology enthusiasts gather to soak up the hottest and extreme video games, gadgets and everything else that gets their hearts pumping with adrenaline.
The rAge Expo is managed and brought to you by Nag Magazine. They have more the 2 000 gamers every year, that deprive themselves of sleep for 3 days of action packed gaming, playing their favourite games with their friends and meeting new gaming enthusiasts at the Nag Lan. The Nag Lan is the biggest gaming Lan in South Africa with all gamers connected to the same network for 3 days of pure adrenaline pumping gamers.
South Africa’s gaming industry is worth billions and was worth 2.4 billion in 2013 and is said to reach 3.7 billion by 2018 according to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC). The rAge Expo in 2013 had 32 000 booming visitors and is expecting approximately 35 000 visitors this year.
The expo showcases everything from the next generation gaming consoles to cutting edge computers and laptops. The percentage of women gamers across the world are increasing, so if you’re female, why not got with your brother, friends, boyfriend and husband to show them how a lady would do it…
