Go Barefoot So Others Don’t Have To

barefoot day

Winter is swiftly sinking its teeth in. This is your chance to stand out and be part of something bigger than yourself. That is why we, Junk Mail Publishing, are inviting you as the public and our beloved users to join us by going barefoot on 18th of June.

The 18th of June is also known as National Barefoot Day. In association with The Put Foot – and the National Barefoot Foundation, Junk Mail Publishing and all our branches (Pretoria, Johannesburg, Kwazulu-Natal, and Cape Town) will go barefoot to support this amazing cause. Please feel free to drop in and come say hi! We are going to take a group photo of all our bare feet at 12:00. Also feel free to contribute by donating R10 to the cause.

What better way than to just kick off your shoes as a symbol of support. They say that if you truly want to understand another person, you have to put yourself in their shoes. What better way to do this than to go barefoot, because of other people that doesn’t have shoes.

The Put Foot Foundation has done some really amazing work, especially with the annual Put Foot Rally. In eleven months they have risen more than R1.5 million and have changed the lives of over 5000 young, underprivileged children by giving them brand new pairs of school shoes.

The Put Foot Foundation calls on all South Africans to join this movement and hold hands to show their support on this day, by going barefoot. You can either sign up as an individual or sign up as a whole group.

Gather your barefoot warriors and fight the battle against poverty.
