The Uitsig Animal Rescue Centre’s (Uitsig ARC) mission is to give sanctuary to animals in need, ensuring their welfare and wellbeing, and ultimately finding new homes with loving families. ‘Changing lives ONE by ONE’, Uitsig Animal Rescue Centre is a Pro Life organization with the objective of No euthanasia, except if the animal is suffering and cannot be rehabilitated.
The Centre was started in February 2009 on a farm in the Western Cape. On Thursday, 27 March, the Centre was given 3 months to vacate the premises to make way for a Housing Project.
The Centre is currently taking care of approximately 500 animals, who will all soon be without a home, unless they are able to raise about R5 million for new premises.
