Looking for something to do this week Thursday? Want to support two important factors in South African society? Well, here’s your chance. Kyle is performing at Liedjieboer (in Midrand) on Thursday (the 25th of October).
In case you did not know, Kyle is considered by many to be the most versatile artist to enter the South African Commercial Music industry recently. Kyle’s biggest achievement was receiving a Legend Award for an outstanding contribution to the Entertainment Industry. He actually received this award before he released his debut album, quite impressive if you ask me.
Kyle has gained the reputation that he is bound by no laws and is therefore unlimited in his performances. He combines the colours of Bollywood with a proudly South African vibe which results in a nice blend of Pop/Country Rock Culture. Together with his band and the Dancers of Oriental Fire Entertainment, Kyle is taking the SA’s Music Industry to the next level. His performance is considered by many as a cultural roller coaster.
Kyle performs his tracks in English, Afrikaans, Hindi, and he also performs original songs that he wrote himself . Not many SA musos have the ability to perform in three languages, which makes him quite unique in the SA Music realm.
All patrons planning to attend the event on Thursday at Liedjieboer are requested to bring along a teddy bear. This will go towards the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Units of the SAPS. These Trauma teddy bears will be given to victims of sexual offences. It helps calm the child and acts as a friend in his / her trauma, and in turn this helps this assisting officer. The teddy bears will be distributed equally amonst STS Units around Gauteng.
A percentage of the proceeds of this performance will also be donated to the Wetnose Animal and Rescue Centre. In case you did not know, this amazing establishment takes care of Abused and Abandoned Pets till a Loving home is found for them. They have a no-kill policy.
So, do your bit South Africa’s furry friends and innocent kids that are traumatized by Domestic Violence and Abuse this Thursday! Doors open at 7:30 PM and the show starts at 8 PM.
