Junk Mail Classifieds has been around for almost 20 years in South Africa. Over the years we’ve strived to make it easier for users to make use of our products. Today’s post aims to do that.
Did you know that just by doing a few things you can optimise your Junk Mail experience and have quicker and easier access to your local and lekker online classifieds?
Here are six easy things you can do:
1. Make Junk Mail your home page in your internet browser:
If you are using Internet Explorer (7 or 8) you have two options:
1.1 In the top right of your screen, open the “Tools” dropdown menu and select “Internet Options”.In the “General” tab, you’ll be able to set the browser home page to www.junkmail.co.za.
1.2 Surf to www.junkmail.co.za. Next, open the dropdown menu next to the “Home” button at the top of your screen, and select “Add or Change Home Page”. A new window will pop up where you can choose to replace your current home page with www.junkmail.co.za.
2. Create a Junk Mail shortcut on your desktop:
Very simply open www.junkmail.co.za, in the internet browser of your choice, minimise the page, and drag and drop the page URL onto your desktop.
3. Add Junk Mail to your “Favourites” or “Bookmarks”:
In Internet Explorer: Open www.junkmail.co.za in your browser. Right click anywhere on the page, select “Add to Favorites” and simply click on “Add” in the next appearing box. To access your favourites, click on the “Favourites” button at the top left of your browser.
In Firefox: Right click anywhere on the Junk Mail page, select “Bookmark this page” and simply click on “Done” in the next appearing box. To access your bookmarks, click on the “Display your bookmarks” button at the top right of your browser.
In Chrome: Open www.junkmail.co.za in your browser. Click on the “Bookmark this page” star at the top right of your browser, select the folder to save it in and select “Done”. To access your bookmarks, right click anywhere on the page and select “Bookmark manager”.
4. Add a bookmark on your mobile phone’s internet browser
Bookmarks can be set up on most WAP enabled or smart phones and will vary from phone to phone. Consult your phone’s manual on how to accomplish this.
5. Subscribe to a RSS Feed
On Junk Mail you can subscribe to RSS feeds of any of our various categories, and receive fresh ads placed in these categories straight to your RSS reader. For example, if you are looking to a purchase a Toyota vehicle in the Pretoria region and want to view new ads in this category, simply complete and submit the Search form. When the results appear, click on the orange RSS button (as show above) and follow the instructions provided.
6. Join our Online Community on Facebook and Twitter
Receive regular updates on developments on our website, interesting and useful articles and other newsworthy items straight to your social media newsfeeds. Simply “Like” our Facebook page or “Follow” us on Twitter.
